In the example above..

The measurement is about 6-7/8 inches, we would recommend a 7" size bracelet.  For a loose fit, we do not recommend going more than 1/2" higher than your wrist measurement.

IMPORTANT:  Do not simply measure the length of another bracelet you have.   This will not necessarily give you an accurate wrist measurement.  You need to measure your wrist with something flat/thin, such as a piece of string, dental floss, or a strip of paper.

Bracelet Sizing

A 7.5" bracelet size will fit a 7.5" wrist.  It does not refer to the overall length of the bracelet.

Getting Your Wrist Size

Method One

Using a flexible tape measure, wrap it around your wrist and note where it overlaps itself.  Make a fist/flex your wrist to see if that makes a difference.

Method Two

Use dental floss, a thin string, ribbon, or even a strip of paper.   Wrap the material around your wrist, and with a pen mark it where it overlaps itself. Then measure  against a ruler.  *DO NOT use paracord, it is too thickand will give you an inaccurate measurement.

TIPS

  • Measure more than once.
  • An extra set of hands really helps!
  • While measuring, flex and bend your wrist to see how that affects the measurement.
  • Bracelets are made to wear comfortably on the stated size wrist.

How NOT to get your wrist measurement

DO NOT measure the length of another bracelet and use that length.

DO NOT try to wrap a metal retracting tape measure around your wrist.  Just don't.

DO NOT wrap your fingers around your wrist and try to measure your fingers.

Maybe try to use a piece of bacon..  but please be sure to Instagram that and tag us. ;)

Why is it important to have an accurate wrist measurement?

A lot of time and effort goes into making bracelets fit the specified size wrists.  Just 1/2 inch either way, can make a difference in how the bracelet wears.

Why is your bracelet longer than your wrist size/measurement?

Paracord is thick stuff.  When woven together into a King Cobra bracelet, it can be nearly 1/2 inch thick!  This needs to be taken into consideration when making the bracelet, and it will require up to an extra 1.5 to 2" to fit comfortably.  Other flatter bracelets such as the fishtail will only take about an extra inch.  Beads can also make a difference.
